Experience a real Canadian maple syrup farm in every season at Elliott Tree Farm.
From the magic of maple harvest to immersive guided tours throughout the year, this experience offers a hands-on look at one of Canada’s most iconic traditions and is approximately 1.5-2 hours.

Step into peak maple season when the sap is flowing and the sugar shack is alive. Enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes topped with our award-winning Ontario maple syrup, accompanied by the Butcher Shoppe thick cut bacon and maple breakfast sausage. Take a scenic walk through the sugar bush, watch maple syrup being made in real time, and enjoy a tasting flight of our maple syrup grades, fresh maple sugar, and maple taffy on snow. Includes access to the Maple Syrup Museum of Ontario.
🌿 Maple Syrup Farm Experience (April 11 to November 8)
Offered every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 am and 12:30 pm from April 11th through November 8th. Perfect for visitors and travellers, this guided experience brings the story of maple syrup to life beyond the harvest season. Tour the sugarbush, taste our award-winning syrups, try maple taffy over ice, visit the Maple Syrup Museum of Ontario, and enjoy our signature waffle & ice cream sandwich while learning about the history of maple syrup in Canada.

What to Expect During the Maple Syrup Farm Experience (April 11 to November 8, 2026):
Your Maple Sugarbush Tour & Tasting is a relaxed, guided 90-minute experience designed to immerse you in the tradition of maple syrup in Canada.
Guided Sugarbush Tour (Approx. 45 Minutes)Begin your experience with a tasting flight of our Golden, Amber, and Dark Maple syrup, plus a pure maple sugar leaf. Then climb aboard the maple trolley for a whimsical drive through our Christmas tree plantations to our Maple Sugar forest. Step off to explore the Gathering of the Giants maple trees and walk the sugarbush trail to our sugar shack, where you'll learn how maple syrup is made. Afterward, you will embark on the maple trolley for the second part of the tour through more tree-lined fields and plantations. Arrive back at the Maple Syrup Museum of Ontario to relax and share stories over our famous Elliott Tree Farm waffle and ice cream sandwich with our award-winning maple syrup. Finally, we will bring out the ice and pour our signature hot taffy for you to enjoy on a stick.
Free parking, entrance to the Maple Syrup Museum of Ontario, a 90-minute experience including guided tour on the maple trolley, maple tasting flight, waffle and ice cream sandwich, and coffee, tea. Guests who complete our Maple Syrup Farm Experience Tour & Tasting will receive their very own official Maple Expert Certificate.

What to Expect During Maple Syrup Harvest Season (February 13 to April 4, 2027):
To Start: The Horse Barn Canteen
Freshly grilled pancakes topped with award winning Ontario pure maple syrup, Canadian side bacon, maple breakfast sausage, and fresh butter. Warm up with hot apple cider, coffee or tea, plus juice or water.
To Follow: The Sugar Shack
Take a scenic 10 to 15 minute walk through the sugar bush, check real sap buckets, and taste maple at every stage, from raw sap to classic maple taffy on snow. Complimentary toboggans are ready at the trail entrance for a little extra fun.
Our live 10-minute Elliott Tree Farm Maple Traditions presentation are at 11 AM, 12 PM, 1 PM, or 2 PM. The Sugar Shack is open from 10 AM to 2:30 PM.
To Finish: At the Heritage Barn

Free parking, entrance to the Maple Syrup Museum of Ontario, a 90-minute experience including tour on the maple trolley, all you can eat pancakes with pure maple syrup and a side of sausage and bacon with a hot apple cider, or coffee, or tea, juice, or water inside our warm Horse Barn Canteen, farm entrance and maple sugar trail access, sugarbush and sugar shack experience where you can learn about the history of maple syrup and maple syrup production & check sap buckets in the forest, taste raw sap, partially cooked sap, fresh maple sugar and fresh maple taffy from maple syrup. Guests who complete our Maple Syrup Farm Experience Tour & Tasting will receive their very own official Maple Expert Certificate.

Before You Arrive
Please arrive 15 minutes early. Tours begin promptly at the alloted ticket times and depart from the main bonfire area in front of the Heritage Barn. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.
Know Before You Go
Dress for the farm and weather conditions. Proper footwear is recommended for walking trails. Dogs are welcome on a leash.
On-Site Extras
Our Heritage Barn shop offers maple syrup, local gifts, and refreshments available for purchase. We accept cash, debit, and credit.
Elliott Tree Farm is open Family Day weekend through Christmas. Online shop available year-round.
